THE DECK - A TIMELAPSE!
THE TREATMENT
The deck was first based in black, and sponge - rolled in various shades of deep blues. the rings were marked in 4 different rings. the width of the rings near the center were the smallest bricks. the further out the rings, the bigger the bricks became. We created 3-4 brick shaped sponge stamps to use in each section. We stamped each brick, one by one, in a very pale blue-white. We then went over the center most bricks in white, speckling it along the outer rings, and darker bricks introduced on the outer edge. clouds of a dark was were applied in sections. a variety of blue washes were applied over the bricks before 3-4 passes of a high glass spray seal.
WALL TREATMENT
Hard scenery faced in muslin. We accomplished the ombre with a steady, blended scumble. The red reveals were then painted. We applied a gloss seal with a paint pad, twice. The red ombre inserts below were achieved with the same techniques.
